Norwel has foresight to take Prescient into the cloud with e-know.net
Managed Hosted IT Solutions provider and legal sector specialist e-know.net has announced that it has been awarded preferred hosting partner status by systems supplier Norwel. Under the terms of the agreement e-know.net will take responsibility for the cloud-based delivery of the complete Prescient suite with Norwel retaining first-line support.
Norwel’s Alan Richardson believes this is an important strategic move for the firm: “Like everyone else we’re seeing a growing interest in cloud computing from clients and prospects and we were keen to get an optimum solution in place for those looking to move away from traditional on-premise infrastructure. Optimum in our eyes was not building something ourselves but making an alliance with the leading provider of managed, cloud-based services to the UK legal market. e-know.net has an outstanding track record in the sector and has consistently demonstrated its understanding of both law firm requirements and vendor/partner needs. Together we can take Prescient to the cloud and provide a flexible, resilient and cost-effective hosted option.”
Nigel Redwood, e-know.net’s managing director, comments: “We’re delighted to be joining with Norwel in taking Prescient to a new platform. This latest tie-up consolidates our position as the hosting partner of choice for system suppliers and further evidences the increasing influence of cloud computing on legal technology. Suppliers need a strong cloud proposition and allying themselves with someone like e-know.net gives them the resources, capacity and capability to deliver just that.”
